The RN-BSN student at Fisher College is afforded the opportunity to complete an internship with an RN preceptor in a community setting. This experience assists the student in the application of knowledge and skills attained from the courses studied in the program. Abilities in critical thinking, clinical decision-making, leadership, research and informatics are enhanced. These are some examples of practice settings:
  • School nursing
  • Visiting nurse agencies
  • Public health departments
  • Primary care clinics and ambulatory care settings
  • Student preferred community-based clinical sites located in their own geographic community
