HS410 Contemporary Issues in Human Service

Prerequisite: HS101 and 60 credits or permission of Program Director

This course is an overview of several different topic areas in the field of Human Services. It is meant to expose students to different populations typically served by Human Services professionals, which will broaden the student’ perspectives and help them to develop competence and confidence when dealing with diverse client issues. Guest speakers will be invited to speak on different topics throughout the semester. A library component is required.
