Fisher College is pleased to announce that their College 101 program for local Boston high school students will begin on Monday, July 8, 2013 and run through Thursday, August 15, 2013.  Fisher College's College 101 program, in its 7th consecutive year, allows Boston area high school students going into their senior year to get a jump start on their academic careers by enrolling in a specialized, six-week college level course. Accepted students take an Introduction to Business, Criminal Justice, Mass Communication, or Psychology course, as well as participate in a paid internship at a local Boston business. Upon completion of the course, students earn three college credits and are offered the opportunity for dual enrollment to earn an additional six credits while they finish out their senior year of high school.

Approximately 64 students were chosen to participate in this year's College 101 program from local high schools including Another Course to College, Boston Community Leadership Academy, Brighton High School, Excel High School, Fenway High School, and West Roxbury Education Complex. College 101 Student Orientation will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 and the Graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Fisher College.
"We look forward to the start of every summer College 101 program at Fisher," states Dr. Thomas M. McGovern, President of Fisher College. "It is an incredible opportunity for local high school students to get a preview of what college life and the workload is really like. We take pride in being able to better prepare these students for their college careers."
