March marks the 14th anniversary of the famous Isabella Gardener Museum heist, in which $500 million dollars worth of priceless artwork was stolen. Director of Security Anthony Amore is responsible for the security and protection of the museum and coordinating with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to recover the 13 works of art stolen from the museum on March 18, 1990. Prior to joining the Gardner Museum, Mr. Amore spent 14 years with the federal government in the law enforcement and security field. Most recently, he served with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration as a key adviser to the Federal Security Director at Logan International Airport in Boston. Mr. Amore will also be teaching a CJ course in Homeland Security course at Fisher this Spring.
