FISHER COLLEGE ANNOUNCES SIX TEAMS IN A.I.I. BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

Boston, MA (April 17, 2014) – Fisher College, host of the Association of Independent Institution Conference’s 2014 national baseball spring championship tournament, today announced the six teams that will compete for the title May 2-5 at Fraser Field in Lynn, MA, home of the Fisher College Falcons.

Two decades ago, two thieves disguised as police officers broke into the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and escaped with 13 priceless works of art.

FISHER COLLEGE HOSTS WOODROW WILSON VISITING FELLOW

 Fisher College has invited Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow U.S. Marine Major General Michael R. Lehnert (Ret.) for an intensive week-long visit from March 17 – March 22. Lehnert will conduct classes, seminars, workshops, and lectures and will meet with students and faculty members informally throughout the week to share his practical knowledge in the areas of ethical decision making in complex and morally bruising environments.

FISHER COLLEGE POLICE CHIEF TO SPEAK IN WASHINGTON ABOUT BOSTON MARATHON TRAGEDY

  Fisher College Public Safety Director and Chief of Police Deborah Crafts will be participating in the panel discussion, Boston Strong: Community Resilience in the Face of Natural Disasters and Acts of Terrorism, at the 2014 American Society for Public Administration Conference (ASPA) in Washington DC on March 16, at 10:15am. Chief Crafts will focus her comments on various critical incidents on campus and the lessons learned as a result.

Anthony M. Amore to Speak at Fisher College

With March being the  anniversary of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum heist, Anthony Amore, Director of Security for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, will join us as part of Fisher College’s “Lessons Learned” speaker series. Mr. Amore is responsible for the security and protection of the museum and coordinating with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to recover the 13 works of art stolen from the museum on March 18, 1990.
